Affidavit of Bachelorhood/Spinsterhood

An affidavit is a sworn declaration of facts. The facts deposed may be within the deponent’s knowledge or outside his or her knowledge. If the fact is not within the deponent’s knowledge, the deponent must state the source of his or her information.

An affidavit of Bachelorhood or Spinsterhood is a sworn declaration by the man or woman stating the fact that they are single and have never been married before.
