What is CTC? It is the acronym for Certified True Copy. Before this time, the Corporate Affairs Commission CAC used to issue hard copies of incorporated companies documents to the owners. Many companies (including Business names, Incorporated Trustees) incorporated before year 2000 all have hard copies of their company documents.
As an owner of a company, circumstance like fire, theft etc may make you to lose copies of your company documents. You do not have to worry or entertain any fear, there is a way out of the situation. What is the way out? It is to apply to CAC for the copy of Certified True Copy of your company documents from CAC.

Steps to apply for CTC of company documents
If you are an accredited agent login to post incorporation dashboard
- Select certified true copy
- Fill in the required details
- Preview your application
- Make payment and submit
- Wait for approval
- Then go ahead to print the CTC
If you are not an accredited agent with CAC, you need to engage the services of an accredited agent.

Note that you can only apply for the CTC of the company certificate and the Memorandum and Article of Association (MEMART). The other CAC document that contains the details of the Directors and Shareholders which is the Application form can be gotten through company search.
